Less of a shine
from being worn
And as each step of the journey goes on

Each knick and scratch
with as much grace
that I can stand.
I can look back at the stuff
I may have stepped in
Or stepped on and weathered
To look back
with acceptance to remember
some bad and some not so bad
I will reminisce of where I’ve been
and be apart of the stories
that will cross the path
