I Would Describe Myself As

My friends would say I am funny, smart and likable, and a little too picky!. I enjoy people and live a blessed life. I am grateful to God for letting me do what I love to do. I quilt and I spend time with my children. I love to travel and occasionally get to do that too. I am a solid red, white and blue, flag-waving, patriot and I am involved in Homes for our Troops. I make quilts for every wounded warrior who receives a house from them. It is my way to honor those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom and this great country we live in. I was married when I was 17 and widowed when I was 46. When my husband passed away I realized it was like the end of a chapter in a great novel. Instead of half of a couple, I am one, but I am still who I always was. I am still an active, sensuous live-life-to-the-fullest kind of woman! And I am ready to write another chapter or two. I want to share my life with someone special. Someone who is a gentleman, who is smart, funny and likable. My idea of a perfect evening is to cook dinner at home, pour a little wine and enjoy an evening with a funny, intelligent man. Looking for someone who is as open minded as I am, preferably a Christian and likes to travel. And especially someone who is honest and real. The worst thing you can do is lie to me. I love to quilt, I paint in oils and acrylics, but my watercolors tend to look like Picasso did them! I Love Willie and Waylon and the Boys as much as I like Enya, Kenny G and Sade, no rap, heavy metal or disco,please! I love slow dancing to golden oldies and can jitterbug and swing with the best of them...Love Glenn Miller's In The Mood! There are a few things I am passionate about. I would like to save those things for a conversation sometime. And last but not least, as a first step in this journey, I would like to spend time becoming good friends and enjoying doing things together.
