I seem to be an exception to most rules. I haven't spent a lot of my life married, but I consider myself an excellent partner. I'm kind and loyal and loving, and I don't like drama. I want to be loved and respected, and feel actions speak louder than words. I'm a quiet person, socially: don't much like bars, rather be home than in a restaurant, love to learn. I'm not a farmer (unless you count my vegetable garden and my lifelong green thumb) but living out here has reinforced my connection to the earth, the simpler things. to leave a legacy of kindness, elegance, and heart. i want it to be said of me that i was a kind and gracious and loving person. so far, i think that will hold true. i've made a difference in people's lives and i am happy for that. for now: my life becomes more simple and elemental all the time, and i find that a more peaceful way to live. i have no problem working hard, but i have started three businesses now, paid my corporate and social dues, and i just want peace. but peace would be better with someone to love.

i'm a quiet person. a walk in the woods with jackthedog, working in the garden, camping, road trips. have traveled fairly extensively, used to be a pretty good bluewater angler (billfish), ride my road bike, reading. i'm a copyeditor/writer so i spend some time doing that. i like quiet company, quiet affection, cooking together. i live in wine country -- love nature and no longer a city person.
