Although I've spent a brief amount of time working in the newspaper business my roots go back to the farm. I spent my childhood and youth working for friends during hot summers in the cranberry bogs near Westport, Washington. During college in the early 1970's I had a summer job harvesting barley on the Scheuerman farm just outside of Endicott, Washington. I earned a batchelors degree in Communication print sequence from WSU in Pullman, Washington in 1973.
