I Would Describe Myself As

I'm a country girl at heart and dream of moving to Tennessee where my birth mother was born and raised and still lives, although I'd find it hard to leave my friends and family here. I'm almost always in boots and jeans. I like trying to grow things in my garden. I want to sit on my front porch and drink lemonade while watching the clouds go by with someone I love. I'm an animal person and have dogs, birds, a rabbit and two goats. Fair warning - I'm no Suzy Homemaker and cooking and housekeeping are not my strong points. I try, though! I'm not impressed by money, fancy cars, fancy restaurants, etc. I am impressed by kindness, an easy-going and positive attitude, and a sense of humor. In the interest of full disclosure, I have to add some fine print: I have been diabetic since I was a child and have had complications including a kidney transplant in 1999 and a lower leg amputation in 2012. I have some vision problems that keep me from driving at night. These things don't keep me from doing most of the things I want to do, although realistically there are some things that are more difficult. I realize this might be a "deal-breaker" for some people, which is why I'm putting it right up front. So I have a prosthetic leg, someone else's kidney, and sometimes I even wear clip-in hair, but my heart and soul are my own and I'm willing to share them completely when we find each other.
