Raised country in small Texas farming/ranching community where Wrangler jeans, BBQ and two-stepping were the natural order of things. Served 10-yrs in USMC after H.S. and then moved to DFW metro - been here ever since. Missing my roots where my heart is happiest and trying to get back to the country before I retire.
Am still F/T employed and have a dog breeding business on the side. Pre-Covid, I purchased a house just outside of town that has turned into a full-blown remodeling project (may have bitten off more than I can chew). Needless to say, I don't have fun anymore, and I am tired of being dull and lonely.
Pros: Independent, genuine, honest, trustworthy, loyal, committed, fair, kind, patient, not high maintenance/drama, passionate and compassionate, witty and sassy.
Cons: Independent; brutally honest; opinionated (but NOT hard-headed); slapstick humor is only type I am NOT fond of; not interested in hard drinking or partying; and am fairly private (can be a hard nut to crack).
- I love to travel - local and internationally, but rarely get the opportunity these days.
- I am an "Elle Mae" when it comes to animals, all types and sizes, but am NOT a fan of spiders.
- I enjoy gardening and even working the land, and am fairly domestic and crafty.
- I really don't have any formal hobbies or interests - I am normally game to do anything or at least try something new (within reason). Street fairs, rodeos, historic tours, winery visits, weekend road trips and the like bring a smile to my face.
- I listen to music daily, but I am not musical (can somewhat 'shower sing'). C&W, Classic Rock, Pop, Showtunes, Christian & Hymnal top my ear candy list.
- I support many military/Vet charities as well as animal support programs.
- I used to dance, would like to get back into it; and will seize any opportunity to take long walks or hikes or even bike rides.
- Happy in jeans and a t-shirt or dressed to the 9's; am normally a homebody (not a couch potato) but look forward to nights out every now and then too. Always look forward to spending time with F&F inside or outside of the home.
