I Would Describe Myself As

I enjoy adventure and the road less traveled, yet home is where I like to put down my roots and where I have been raising my three wonderful children solo for the past four years. I traveled in my college years, and still enjoy exploring places close to home and road tripping showing my children the wonders of God’s creation. I am still activity raising kids, so if that is not part of your long term plan, we would not be a fit.

Growing is a passion for me – I currently practice urban gardening and…hope to grow a relationship along with some acreage someday into something amazing and bountiful.

As a life-long learner, I am inquisitive–you might easily find me reading Scientific American, Mother Earth News, a biography, the latest New York Times bestseller, or a really trashy novel. I do what interests me…you might find me (and my kids)…at the planetarium, strolling through an art walk, digging clams, picking wild blackberries, hiking, canning apricots, ice skating, visiting an elder from church with a pie in hand, having an in-house dance party, or any other adventure which strikes our mood.

I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and am currently stripping a floor - yet I am equally comfortable getting dressed up to paint the town. I am not a girly girl, but enjoy expressing my femininity. I take care of myself and expect others to do the same. I do not do drama, drugs, nor do I play games.
