City-bred but Country-loving!
Hello Gentlemen:
(First off, don't let 'all these here dang words' put ya off-- I'm not 'a gabby gal' at all in person; quite the opposite):
I am an avid enjoyer of nature; animal-lover, outdoors enthusiast; organic food proponent (been a vegetarian much of my life and am a pretty creative cook when I choose to be ;~})
Prefer hiking, camping, horsebackriding/pack-trips, organic gardening VS. off-roading, hunting, shooting; prefer harvest moons,festivals and roadside stands VS. karaoke, line-dancing at the corner bar, or rodeos; prefer farming crops VS. ranching cattle; prefer mountains and woodlands VS. flatlands; prefer Rving VS. off-roading; prefer sitting on a lovely bank of a creek VS. fishing the fish out of it; prefer travelling VS. tv; prefer get-togethers of the like-minded and hearted or a quiet evening on a cabin porch under the stars with a honey VS. getting soused in town among strangers and the strange (btw, I don't drink, so that ain't gonna happen anyhoot) ;~}.
Hey, I'm sassy, but I'm classy! Have a droll sense of humor; don't like low-brow, but do enjoy a good Twanian satirical sense and a smiling spirit.//
Would like to be around horses; perhaps raise a small flock of chickens organically for the eggs; keep bees; maybe a few goats for the milk,or sheep, llama for the wool vs. raising loads of animals for slaughter.
(I realize there are many men on this site who may do some of my 'cons' for a living. I can only state my own values and principles that I live by and trust there are some of you here, who have similar interests and values to my own. In which case, I look forward to meeting y'all. ;~} //
Am idealistic (or as I've come to temper that over time, a 'realistic idealist') but I can have my fantasies can't I?) Yes, I can, because I am also a romantic-- a creative and a poetic type. And so, I fantasize about the lifestyle of Thoreau (was it as idyllic as he would have us believe?-- I once read that his 'wilderness' was actually not too far from his mom's house)! O.K., sans that, how about a little homestead in a wooded mountain glade? Not too, too remote as I do enjoy some contact with so-called 'civilization' at times-- as mentioned, I do enjoy travelling, though I enjoy being a 'cozy homebody' too.//
*Though I was raised in the city (where currently residing), I've lived for over a decade out West-- in Arizona and California. Have my future sights set on living in COLORADO (BUT..that's open to whom I may meet...perhaps on this sight...perhaps you);~}! //
Some other things I like (or would like) to engage in: exploring off-the-beaten path, by foot or driving along country roads or trekking on horseback to such places; reading, writing (NOT 'rithmetic!); researching/studying arcane subjects, e.g. Astrology, Meta-physics, Bio-energetics, Feng Shui, Archeo-astronomy, Crypto-zoology, so-called 'conspiracy theories' for instance.
I guess you can surmise that I'm pretty intellectually curious. I also think values (like honesty, integrity, compassion), ethics and morals (not the self-righteous 'church-lady' variety, just sane and simple kind-- that of the 'Golden Rule' if you will) are important life guides.//
I am 'conserving' in terms of nature and do my best to recycle, preserve, protect -- whether the environment, wildlife, health.... A dream would be to steward land together with my honey; creating a sanctuary for wildlife and possibly get involved in rehab-return-to-nature
care.
This said, my political outlook is not 'conservative'. I am progressive-minded and concerned about issues re: the environment, animal and human welfare, natural resources, etc.

To find my version of 'Shangri-la', which includes a beloved (a comfortable 'cottage' in the country/nature, with land which we steward as a sanctuary for wildlife-- ourselves and friends too). Living, growing, playing, working, bringing our good selves to our local community surroundings in some way (e.g. environmental concerns, volunteering to steward woods/preserves/nature centers).
Being able to grow our own organic vegies, maybe ave a small fruit orchard, perhaps a flock of chikens for eggs and a few goats for milk, a couple of horses to ride, and dogs, cats, birds, etc. for companionship-- along with the native wildlife.
It would thus involve living more simply, more 'off-the-grid' (e.g. solar devices, pehaps a windmill...), without getting fanatical about any of it. Just having fun, experimenting, adventuring, exploring, learning, and enjoying ourselves, whilst contributing our mutual talents and skills and attitude toward bettering life for all we touch.
Creating enough of a life and livelihood, that we are able too, to go off and travel/explore (whether a hike, a ride, a drive, or oversees) and not be overly tied-down to circumstances.

Someone who is adventurous, curious, resourceful, courageous, playful, but also can get the work done with focus and creative attention. A good sense of humor, love of animals, generous, affectionate, liking for people too.
Someone who does not smoke at all; isn't addicted in any way: to drink or drugs, or sports or being a gym-rat, or a workaholic. Generally, a pretty balanced and grounded individual-- not an extremist, but not a bore either-- or a stick-in-the-mud, or couch potato/channel-surfer type. Open-minded (but in a good, not perverse way).
A man who wants a 'partner' in the egalitarian sense of the word (willing to be flexible and not rigid or demanding in the dance of relationship-- always respectful, honest, willing to be vulnerable with his heart, and supportive with his mind).
Handsome with a great smile and twinkle in his eyes would be a great 'cherry on the top'! ;~}
