I like going to movies, concerts, and such, but i seldom go without someone. i love travel more than anything and poking around in niches i've never explored. i love cuddling and holding my lover close to me, walking along the beach at sundown. so hackneyed, but still soooo nice! i play the piano and rather well too. sometimes i'm inspired to write a little poetry. i love the quietude of where i live. i can see us sitting in my patio swing on a clear moonlit night listening and snuggling to the debussy's clair de lune. the night stars here are awesome. i spend a lot of my time refurbishing my home inside and out.

The Wide Place on a Hill

Once upon a hill, two lovers stood hand in hand.
One had lost a husband.
One, a lover.
 
Emotionally bruised and battered, the two lovers gazed outward
Over the vast mountains and chasms before them 
A vastness matched only by the sea of their uncertainty
And their inward longings.
 
Having lost so much before, did they dare to try again?
Could the sea of loss, of loneliness, of grief, of uncertainty
Exceed the desire to find love again?
 
Then she whispered, "The future will propel us forward, or it will leave us behind.
It matters naught to the universe".
Let us build a vessel of love
To take us o'er the brooding waters to a distant shore
Where thole and oar cease their chore.
And love comes to rest in peace forever more.
