I Would Describe Myself As
Established, independent, intelligent, educated, creative, compassionate, loyal, looking for a life time of giving my heart and soul to someone who wants to give me his in return. Mutual appreciation and respect for each other is a must.
I've lived in many places in the world, pursued various creative interests, and currently focus on music and singing country swing tunes.
I have dogs, family, and solid friendships. I love spontaneity, taking pleasure in simple things, like a bike ride, a river walk, a warm evening. I'm not materialistic and prefer spending money on experiences.
I have an emotional nature but I'm often considered too heady. I'm an optimist and can't stand being around chronically negative people. I choose to believe in the goodness of people until they prove themselves otherwise which makes me trusting - or gullible depending on your perspective. Trust is an important part of any relationship and fidelity an absolute must.
I like doing creative things: building mosaic tables, stained glass stepping stones, quilting, sewing clothes, painting - artfully and otherwise. I have Cordon Bleu training although it was a rather stuffy education - heavy on reputation and weak on skills but I'm a good cook despite it all. I have a music education in piano, jazz performance and vocal training. And I write, always have, journals, short articles, humor pieces, lyrics, and intend to do more.
I stay fit with hot yoga, a healthy diet, walking, summer cycling, winter cross country skiing. I'm told I look much younger than my chronological age and I find it absolutely hilarious that I'm a woman in my 50s.
I'm an easy conversationalist as I'm curious about people. I ask questions which to me is the most obvious way to express interest in someone. But meeting in person is the only way to get a feel for someone so if you're interested, then let's get together!
