I am a giving, caring hard working person. I have a scientific and business backgtlind. Having recently sold my main business, I am now enjoying a relaxed life style and focusing on personal things which took a back seat to running and growing s business. I love the outdoors; biking, hiking, camping , traveling and enjoying time with family and friends. I like to design and build new things and restore old things. I love to cook and try new things . I am getting back to photography and painting.
I have had a life long passion for helping people, which was instilled at a very early age. I actively support a number of local charitable organizations with my time talent and resources, especially those addressing issues confronting our youth. I work with younger people sharing my business knowledge and experience.
I stand firmly on the rock, reaching out to my fellow man, sharing the simple truth, helping all to understand. Yes, I have a deep personal faith in God and my Lord Jesus, and I am very much learning and growing in that faith every day.
What am I looking for in a relationship? I am looking for friends, but the right kind of friends and if one of those relationships develops into more that would be great, but it is not my sole focus. In fact it’s not even on the radar at the moment. Living alone has its benefits and drawbacks. One step a one day at a time.
Those who know me best know that I am not into drama, misstatements or lies. I abhor labeling, bullying, racism, political dogma, organized religion, blurring of facts and minimizing or altering history, I also shy away from those living in the material world while ignoring those in need. Don’t tell me what to believe. Respect my thoughts , values and beliefs as I respect others rights to have theirs. I gravitate towards individuals who still embrace the diversity of ideas and the value of debate.
The relationship I seek in a friend or a partner is an equal relationship where one does not walk ahead of, or behind the other. I believe that each person gives 110% to the relationship, never keeping score. Relationships can not be used for personal gain or as a vehicle to force change in a person. Similarities are the foundation, providing stability and comfort. Differences should be understood, supported and celebrated. Open honest communication on a daily basis is an essential requirement. All of these factors are not essential for a friendship or acquaintance , but some are. More and more of these criteria come into play as a friendship deepens and all are in play with a partnership relationship
