Grandkids are the best thing in the world, right before duct tape and WD-40. I was raised on a ranch in northern Wyoming at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains. I have stayed active in the agricultural community all my life. I feel that farmers and ranchers are still the backbone of our country even though our numbers are dwindling every year. Someday our government and the general population will wake up and realize how essential agriculture really is. Now I will step down off of my soap box.

I love to go camping in the Mountains where there are lakes with water that is crystal clear and the pine trees smell wonderful after a rain. Camping is also a favorite time to do a lot of dutch oven cooking. I also enjoy working in the yard and growing lots of flowers and a garden. One of the best things about a garden is canning the food after it is harvested. Still beats store bought any day.

Watching the grandchildren in their sports and activities is a priority for me. I like country activities such as rodeos, fairs, stock shows, Ag Expos and farmers markets. I like to travel, shop in little out of the way antique shops, and visit museums and historical landmarks.
