Thank you for stopping by my profile. I am searching for a LTR. The proverbial partner, best friend and love of my life. Someone in it for the long run.

I am a self-employed geologist, I love the work, it is like a passionate hobby - a cross between history, science and art. I have never worked for anyone else, always on my own.

Although born in Santa Fe in what is now the Drury Plaza Hotel, and yes, it was a hospital back then, I was raised and lived most of my life on a ranch around San Angelo, TX. I have a home and office there. I implemented geology into ranching and developed an almost entirely sustainable, migratory, ranching system. It is based on my vision of the co-evolution of bison and grasses. In other words - Happy cows!

I have a vacation rental business at Big Bend National Park, It's fun to go every year or two. Big Bend is a remarkable place but they say if you stay more than a week, you will never leave - I haven't chanced it!

I have my small cabin on the creek in Ruidoso, when I'm not working along the Rio Grande on geology, I'm there.

I'm not into this but if you are, my Personality Type - ENTP. I am also a Leo, which, good or bad, I seem to fit the stereotype.

I can fall in love hard and passionately. I don't know if it is the Greek genetics, being a Leo or raised an only child on a ranch.......


I am analytical, creative, intuitive, responsible and entrepreneurial.

I am adaptable without being malleable. I think I sometimes communicate too much.

An old college friend summed me up this way "Bud is fun!........Sometimes!"

I travel to Dallas and Houston periodically for work, Denver occasionally.

For fun, I have traveled from the Canadian Rockies to Mexico City and San Francisco to NYC. Paris, London, Dublin, Oslo among others - I haven't done the South of France, Monaco, Italy and Greece yet.

I have climbed the mountain to see the Monarch butterfly's Mexican homeland, next time, I'm taking the horse!

One of my best friends is from England, What's App is great.

I slid off the end of the runway at Gatwick, dodged a Cessna in Dublin and tore a knee up skiing in Taos. Broke an ankle playing football, tore another up ice skating, wrecked both shoulders playing ball with the stepson - then there are the mad cow, mad women and bobcat stories and the jealous drunk Norwegian - later.

Clear water and white carbonate beaches are a magnet for me, it's a geology and cold beer thing. After countless trips to Cozumel I know the best beaches and all the beer, margarita and fish stands. I got stuck and abandoned in a cave scuba diving there, I would prefer standing on a Dallas freeway to experiencing that again.

Men and women can have an awfully hard time getting along, but when it is right, there is nothing better!
